Adesh! Adesh! It is my pleasure on the occasion of Maha Shiva Ratri to announce the new online newsletter of the International Nath Order, The Open Door. The Open Door was first published on paper in 1988. The old archives have been opened and their contents have now been leaked onto the Web. To round it out, the INO mailing list archives have been mined for jewels and these too have been republished in the new online Open Door. You'll find The Open Door at: http://opendoor.nathorder.org/Enjoy, Adityanath P.S. A Livejounal feed is now available at nath_order. Content should appear soon. I see the three things meme has resurfaced, at least among some of my friends. This is neither a mutation or an answer, but an ancient example of the three things meme. From the earliest Code of Laws in Britain known as the Molmutine, the following are appended as examples:
There are three tests of civil liberty: equality of rights; equality of taxation; freedom to come and go.
Three things are indispensible to a true union of nations: sameness of laws, rights and language.
There are three things free to all Britons: the forest, the unworked mine, the right of hunting.
There are three property birthrights of every Briton: five British acres of land for a home, the right of suffrage in the enacting of the laws, the male at twenty-one, the female on her marriage.
There are three things which every Briton may legally be compelled to attend: the worship of God, military service, the courts of law.
There are three things free to every man, Briton or foreigner, the refusal of which no law will justify: water from a spring, river, or well; firing from a decayed tree; a block of stone not in use.
There are three classes which are exempt from bearing arms: bards, judges, graduates in law or religion. These represent God and his His peace, and no weapon must ever be found in their hands.
Threre are three persons who have a right of public maintenance: the old, the babe, the foreigner who cannot speak the British tongue. -- From Celt, Druid and Culdee by Isabel Hill Elder Current Mood: chipper Current Music: The Laws Have Changed-New Pornographers-Electric Version

I dreamt a dream and in this dream, Allah and G-d sat down to bargain. Allah said to Mosheh, "Let my people go!" And Mosheh said, "Go on, take them." But Allah said, "But they are poor and downtrodden. Give them something for the land they have lost!" G-d thought about this, and offered X shekels of silver apiece that they might resettle in the lands of Allah. Of course, Allah countered with Y, G-d with X1, etc.
At length they arrived at a bargain, but then Allah said, "What of Jerusalem? We should like to visit the holy sites." And Mosheh said, "For the first act of violence, the borders shall be closed for a day; on the second, two; the third, for four whole days, and thereafter doubling each time, until eternity shall reign."
Allah shook his head. I cannot agree to that. Unless one day each year be open even if all others are closed.
G-d sat and thought.
I woke up.

honeysuckle moon red haired dakini shows me her moonlit playground -- Adityanath
There is a beautiful snow peaked mountain With peaceful clouds wrapped round her shoulders. The surrounding air is filled with love and peace. What is going to be is what is, That is love.
There is no fear of leaping into the immeasurable space of love. Fall in love? Or, are you in love? Such questions cannot be answered, Because in this peace of an all-pervading presence, No one is in and no one is falling in. No one is possessed by another.
I see a beautiful playground Which some may call heaven, Others may regard it as a trap of hell. But, I, Chogyam, don't care.
In the playground beautiful Dakinis are holding hand drums, flutes, and bells. Some of them, who are dancing, hold naked flames, water, a nightingale, or the whole globe of earth with the galaxies around it. These Dakinis may perform their dance of death or birth sickness, I am still completely intoxicated, in love. And with this love, I watch them circle. This performance is all pervading and universal, So the sonorous sound of mantra is heard As a beautiful song from the Dakinis. Among them, there is one dakini with a single eye, And turquoise hair blown gently by the wind. She sends a song of love and the song goes like this:
Hum Hum Hum If there is no joy of Mahamudra in the form, If there is no joy of Mahamudra in the speech If there is no joy of Mahamudra in the mind, How would you understand That we Dakinis are the mother, sister, maid, and wife. And she shouts with such penetrating voice, saying Come, come, come Hum, hum, hum Join the EH and VAM circle.
Then I knew I must surrender to the dance And join the circle of Dakinis. Like the confluence of two rivers, EH the feminine and VAM the male, Meeting in the circle of the Dance.
Unexpectedly, as I opened myself to love, I was accepted. So there is no questioning, no hesitation, I am completely immersed in the all-powerful, the joyous Dakini mandala.
And here I found unwavering conviction that love is universal. Five chakras of one's body filled with love, Love without question, love without possessions.
This loving is the pattern of Mahamudra, universal love, So I dance with the eighty Siddhas and two thousand aspects of Dakinis, And I will dance bearing the burden of the cross. No one has forsaken me, It is such a joyous love dance, my partner and I united.
So the clear, peaceful mountain air, Gently blows the clouds, A beautiful silk scarf wrapped round. The Himalayas with their high snow peaks are dancing, joining my rhythm in the dance. Joining with the stillness, the most dignified movement of them all.
